A movie house on the Niagara River, rebuilt for music
Sessions on the River sits in the historic Parkway Movie Theatre at 133 Niagara Blvd in downtown Fort Erie, looking out at the water. Chris Curry founded it in 2008, and it has worked as a recording facility and a live room ever since.
Modern sound equipment inside an old theatre gives the place a warm, close feel that suits artists and audiences the same way. Weekly showcases, open mics, and touring acts keep the stage busy, and most of what happens on it goes out in high definition to anyone watching from home.
The building exists to give musicians the tools, the stage, and the exposure to grow and reach an audience.
